The Ply-wood Paintings are trompe l’oeil paintings of plywood, the simple material that adorns gendered spaces such as garages, man caves, basements, and auto body shops. Their abbreviated phrases, words, names and symbols are reminiscent of 1980s bathroom graffiti.
