The Sunrise/Sunset paintings pair an atmospheric abstract canvas with a black dripping frame made from plexiglas or epoxy resin. Inspired by dramatic morning and night skies, these paintings are meant to evoke a sense of dark mystery, one in which the materials of painting also become materials for sculpture.
